Manatee County Florida Housing Market Statistics
Is the Florida housing market in Manatee County improving? The answer is a definite “yes”. Compared to 2012 statistics, the average time for a home or condo on the market along with the monthly supply of inventory has decreased. Furthermore, the average Manatee County sale price has increased — $234,099 in 2012 to $287,723 in 2013 for single family homes and $164,745 in 2012 to $169,468 in 2013 for condos and townhouses.
In May 2013, the average home or condo sold for 93-95% of the original list price, an increase from 2012. We are seeing that sellers who have been sitting on the sidelines, are now ready to enter the market. The median days on the market has decreased, with several homes selling within hours after being listed.
The below data was produced by Florida REALTORS® with data provided by Florida’s multiple listing services. Statistics for each month are compiled from MLS feeds on the 15th day of the following month. The data was released on Thursday, June 20, 2013. The next data release is Monday, July 22, 2013.
